Thunder Hosts Tulsa Youth Camps

The Oklahoma City Thunder announced in a release today the opening of registrations for its winter Thunder Youth Basketball camps, presented by Simple Modern.  

Two camps will take place in Tulsa and include one Crossover Camp for kids ages 12–16, and one Hustle Camp for kids ages 6-14. Crossover Camps are 4-hour sessions that focus on sharpening intermediate to advanced dribbling, defense, and shooting skills. Hustle Camps focus on technical fundamentals and development drills to improve skill sets within defense, ball-handling, shooting, layups, and more.  Each participant will receive a jersey (Crossover Camp) or T-shirt (Hustle Camp), basketball, Simple Modern water bottle, and a ticket to a select 24-25 Thunder home game.

Hunting Seasons Begin Sept. 1

Oklahoma’s first major hunting season of the fall opens with Dove hunting. If you’ve never tried dove hunting, it’s very easy to get started. A shotgun, an ample supply of shells, a place to go and a state hunting license is all most people really need to have a great day.

Dove are found from one side of the state to the other. Recently harvested grain fields and cattle watering ponds on private land can be excellent places to hunt dove. Additionally, excellent hunting can be found on Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation’s (ODWC) wildlife management areas.

A fish fry favorite, catfish are abundant across Oklahoma and easy to catch come summertime! Catfish fishing techniques vary depending on the type of catfish you’re targeting and the environment in which you are fishing.

The Opening Olympic Ceremony 2024

This morning, I saw clips from the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. The imagery was, let’s say, astonishing. It presented, among other things, a grotesque parody of Da Vinci’s Last Supper. In the place of Christ sat a stout woman with half-exposed breasts; one of the apostles was a homosexual man with testicles hanging out of a tight latex outfit; the rest of the apostles were replaced by transgender individuals and other figures who have surgically or otherwise rejected the task of being a man or a woman. Among this group, there was also a young girl – a sign of childlike innocence and purity.

Gateway Sponsors Series: Tulsa vs. OSU

Beginning in 2024 and extending through the next eight years, Gateway First Bank is the new title sponsor of the Turnpike Classic, the longstanding football series between Tulsa University and Oklahoma State the rivals announced Wednesday. The title sponsorship is a joint agreement with Golden Hurricane Sports Properties and Cowboy Sports Properties.
